While the indigenous community have maintained an exceptionally strong culture and sovereignty, increasingly the attractions of their idyllic homeland are presenting a lure for tourists and challenging the preservation of a culture frozen in time.

The National Geographic Channel’s broadcast of my news report for the APTN reporting on how an Argentine official in the small interior city of San Luis is suggesting people adopt mosquito-munching frogs—not chemicals—as a solution to an outbreak of the disease dengue fever, which is spread by the insects.
