The Republic of Serbia, a part of the Former Yugoslavian Territory is trying to drag itself from the remnants of over a decade of conflict. External bridges are proving difficult to mend and there is a lack of trust in politicians and their ability to help the country escape its troubled past.
But there are those whom think the international media must bear some responsibility for Serbia’s problems — particularly in the way it is perceived by the outside world.
From Vietnam onwards the reporting of conflict has always been complex and controversial.
This documentary examines what lessons can be learned from the reporting of the Balkan conflicts that can shed light on the media’s role during times of national upheaval.
